Tuck Everlasting
My ten year old daughter was sobbing at the end of this book but immediately after finishing it she flipped it back to the beginning and restarted. After she fell asleep (while reading the book) curiosity got the best of me and I decided I'd skim through it. Well I ended up reading the whole book and barely getting any sleep.
