Getting to Know Me

(Thanks to whoever sent me this. I would name who you are if I hadn't just accidentally erased the email.)
1. Are you named after anyone?

No, my mother, as a child, always said her first daughter would be named Jessica Lyn.

2. When was the last time you cried?

About a month ago while reading The Shadows by J.R. Ward. I bawled like bawled like a baby.

3. Do you have kids?

Being the proud mother that I am, I assure you that this section will be lengthy and I promise to brag incessantly.

Yes, I have two children. An eleven year old daughter named Kenzie. She looks just like me with her golden brown hair and large dark brown eyes. She is already as tall as I am, five foot three inches. She is a straight A student and enjoys reading, fighting with her brother, riding bikes, writing, swimming and riding her dirt bike. Her favorite book is Wonder by R.J. Palacio. She just finished fifth grade this year and will be moving to the junior high next school year. My son, Myles, age six, is a mix between me and my husband but tends too favor me more as he grows. He just finished kindergarten and did very well this year. He is very athletic and likes to ride his bike, playing basketball, swimming, riding his dirt bike, and, of course, shares his sister’s passion for sibling smack-a-thons. His favorite book is Little Rabbit Foo Foo by Michael Rosen.

I also have a hand in raising my youngest sister, Jill. She is thirteen and we lost our mother in 2012. She is an exceptional student and also enjoys reading. She also looks a lot like me, only blonde. She has a lot on her plate having to deal with being raised by an older father who just doesn’t understand teenage girls AT ALL. He worked so much when my other sister and I were growing that this is all basically new to him.

Sometimes I feel like I am raising my 35 year old husband. Does that count too?

Right now I would say winter but if you ask me in six months my answer would change.
