What the fuck?!?!?
This is a scene where a morgue employee has a strong reaction to the corpse of Antonia, who committed suicide. He zips the body bag back up and puts it in his trunk. He goes to the store and gets her a nice dress made of Japanese silk.
He walks to the beach, Antonia in his arms. Dominguez is a strong man, he has spent six years lifting weights in the basement, a remedy to overcome the rusk of thoughts that sometimes overwhelm him.
Dominguez buries his face in the woman's hair. He dances with her, a silent waltz, awkward and clumsy. He recites Neruda, whispers it in her ear. He kisses her forehead and laments the lonliness. Hers. His.
"I wanted you to see the ocean. I wanted you to know someone was with you. no questions. No suppositions, no speculations. I just wanted you company. Me and you. The loneliness is too much sometimes. I know you understand."
Perhaps the tidal waves of loneliness drove Dominguez insane...
Insane? This is disturbing.
