oh boy do the girls have a bright idea this morning.
I see two bicycles in the drive way. My youngest is out there filling the tires up with air now. They are both equipped with baskets on the front (I am assuming for grocery shopping after school.) I think they are going to ride their bikes to school. Keep in kind, I offered them this idea at the beginning of school. The school my girls attend allow them to use this as a form of P.E. and let them gain an extra 40 minutes of study hall 3 days a week and only require that they attend actual gym class on Fridays. The oldest wanted me to lie and send a note in saying she is extremely physically active at home. Nope, not going to happen. She didn't understand that if I lie, she is the one who will suffer for this in the end. If the teachers see them riding their bikes to school, they can sign off on the P.E. paper. I bet, that they didn't finish their homework last night and need the study hall. Desperation will make people dk the things they hate to survive. Also, it is trash day. They didn't use the kitchen sized bags, and they had to empty the bag into the trash can itself to get it to fit. From the looks of their trash, they blew a big portion of their budget on soda and candy bars. The little apartment, that's what I call their new living quarters, is not on the same water heating system as the rest of the house. We have tank less in the main side. Where they are, runs off of a small 15 or twenty gallon water heater. The youngest apparently didn't know this and drained the water heater. I heard the oldest yelling and then head down the basement stairs and use the basement shower, which they both hate to use because we found a huge ass spider in there about a month ago. Lol. I heard her making her sister come down and guard the surrounding areas for spiders while she proceeded to take her 4 minute shower. I always told showers could be done quickly but she never believed me. She thinks she is so smart, but I am also learning things about her that I can use against her in the future.
P.S. The ride to school is along a bike trail the city put in mainly for the kids in town to use to exercise. It goes directly passed tge school and the school and city both provide cross walk guards at intersections, and security guards police the area to keep the kids safe. I wish more communities would put something like this in for their kids.
