I need some more book recommendations, please.

Today I was supposed to be at the hospital while one of the residents had surgery and dividing up his hospital stay time with 2 or 3 other workers. It was postponed until next week, and his post surgery stay is going to more lengthy than we were initially informed. The doctor forgot to run two tests the insurance requires in order to cover the transplant. My hours have been switched to A.M.

The travel time has also drastically changed. I will be having over 3 hours of drive time. I need good audiobook recommendations. I need the narrator(s) to be awesome. I don't like to listen to audio sex scenes in the car, I am aways afraid that people will be able to hear from outside the car and a child will get an ear full of a detailed bumping uglies scene. I will be in down town Cleveland people, someone could shoot me for scarring the minds of their children! Just kidding, my hubby just gave me the ' it's a bad part of town speech.' I feel sorry for the bad idiot who tries to mess with me though, stun gun and mace (not pepper spray) will be on my person! I kinda wanna try the mace out so I will be very trigger happy!

Anyways, Requirements (I need audio and some more ebook ideas!):

No tear jerkers! Hospitals are sad enough!

Genres: I hate hospitals (why did I become a nurse?), so fantasy lands are very welcome! NO panty soakers and by panty soakers I mean xxx porn. Sex scenes are fine, but not a book only about sex. I like both epic and dark fantasy. I love strange creatures (vampires, aliens, monsters, witches, warlocks, hobbits, elves, superheroes, robots (Yes! Grim and Michelle, You have both converted me to a sci fi lover!). I like adventure and action in a book.

What I have loved in the past:

Favorite Authors: Tolkien, Asimov, J.R. Ward, Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter, Gary Braumbeck, J.K. Rowling, Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Books: To Kill a Mockingbird,

I have only read the first Game of Thrones and am considering the second book.

I need 2 or three audiobooks, and want to get at least 8 more ebooks. Oh, I generally prefer my audiobooks told from first person perspective. Page count doesn't matter. I like graphic novels too.

Also, what was your favorite book hat you read this year?
